From the very first time I heard that quote, it resonated with me. When I was much younger, I believed that I needed to fit in to be successful. But during my senior year of high school, I almost lost my life in a car accident. I realized in that moment that life is too short to try to be something you aren’t! You were created perfectly and uniquely, SO JUST BE YOU!
I have always been a people person, so sales was a really good fit for me. Fresh out of college, I took a sales position with a livestock feed company. I quickly realized that sales isn’t just about sales! It’s connection. It’s networking. It’s marketing. It’s advertising. It’s being consistent. It’s branding. It’s staying top of mind.
As an avid writer, I found blogging to be a wonderful creative outlet. That hobby quickly turned into a career when I was recruited for a marketing and advertising position with an agency that represented small, local businesses.
Since then, I have independently provided marketing and advertising services for many different types of businesses.
